Pohang City held the completion report meeting for the ‘2024 Pohang City Big Data Analysis Project’ on the 14th.

View original imageOn this day, about 10 officials from related departments including the General Affairs Saemaeul Division, Elderly and Disabled Welfare Division, Transportation Support Division, and Public Transportation Division attended the meeting, which proceeded with reports on big data analysis results and discussions on utilization plans.
This project analyzed and reported on a total of four tasks: ▲Analysis of civil complaint data from the National Sinmungo, Saeol Civil Complaints, and Civil Complaint Call Center ▲Big data analysis of elderly single-person households for predicting welfare demand for the elderly ▲Current status and optimal location analysis of bus stop facilities ▲Optimal location analysis for the installation of smart crosswalks.
The city plans to visualize the big data analysis results on the big data platform to enable data-driven administrative work for employees, establish proactive welfare policies for the elderly and single-person households, and improve civil complaint services such as reducing processing time.
Additionally, it plans to use the results as a basis for optimizing bus stop facility locations and prioritizing the installation of smart crosswalks to ensure citizens’ safety and convenience.
The city stated that it will continue to focus on improving administrative services and enhancing citizens’ quality of life through ongoing data analysis.
