Goheung County Invites Dutch Smart Farm Expert for Special Lecture
Special Lecture on the Future of Smart Agriculture
with Artificial Intelligence for Young Farmers
Held at Goheung Smart Farm Innovation Valley
Goheung County, South Jeolla Province (Governor Gong Youngmin) announced on the 14th that it held a special lecture on the vision of smart agriculture for young farmers at the Goheung Smart Farm Innovation Valley on the 12th, inviting on-site experts from Priva, a world-renowned Dutch company specializing in greenhouse integrated environmental control programs.
More than 40 young farmers and officials from the Smart Farm Business Office attended the lecture. Marcel Koole, a senior consultant in facility horticulture with over 20 years of experience in the Dutch horticulture industry, directly communicated with the young participants and delivered a special lecture on topics such as the trends in Dutch smart farms, the use of environmental control program sensors, and the direction of smart agriculture development through artificial intelligence, drawing significant attention.

An official from the county stated, "In order to invigorate smart agriculture, which is a future strategic industry for Goheung County, we plan to continue promoting various specialized smart agriculture education programs for residents and young people."
Meanwhile, in the facility horticulture sector, which marks the starting point of the Goheung County Advanced Agro-Fishery-Livestock Smart Farm Valley, the county is achieving remarkable results by attracting projects totaling 64 hectares, including the Smart Farm Innovation Valley (33ha), the Smart Horticulture Complex (11ha), and the Large-scale Smart Farm Startup Complex (20ha).
