Police Investigating Specific Circumstances of the Case
Parents who abandoned their two-year-old daughter who died in Seocheon, Chungnam, were arrested by the police.
On the 14th, the Seocheon Police Station in Chungnam announced that they had arrested and were investigating the parents in their 20s on charges of corpse abandonment.
According to the police and fire authorities, they received a report from the Seocheon County Office at around 8:05 p.m. the previous day stating, "A child from the daycare center is unreachable and her whereabouts are unknown."
The police found the deceased two-year-old girl on the veranda of a multi-family house in Seocheon-eup, where the child resided. The body was already in a state of decomposition. The police determined that a considerable amount of time had passed since the child’s death. The police urgently arrested the parents in their 20s at the scene.
