Meritz Securities expected Kakao to be re-evaluated as it attempts services utilizing OpenAI on the 14th.
Researcher Lee Hyo-jin of Meritz Securities explained, "Investors are curious about the changes in KakaoTalk," adding, "Since the recent announcement of collaboration with OpenAI, investor attention has focused on what services are being prepared."
He continued, "It is basically expected that the ChatGPT service will be implemented within KakaoTalk," and added, "Just as searches are conducted within conversations using '#', it could be implemented with ChatGPT commands or allow commands such as calling a taxi."
He predicted, "There is a possibility of introducing a ChatGPT tab," and "Combined with Kakao Map and commerce functions, it could lead to additional revenue beyond advertising."
Furthermore, he foresaw, "The biggest impact on the advertising sector would be the introduction of feeds," and "Considering feed advertising unit prices and effectiveness, advertising could record a growth rate of over 100% for some time."
