Ulju-gun Opens KBS National Singing Contest Preliminary... Finals on the 15th

Finals to Be Held at 2 p.m. on the 15th at Ulju Sports Complex
On the 13th, Ulju-gun, Ulsan, successfully concluded the preliminary round of the ‘KBS National Singing Contest’ at the county office Alps Hall, with a total of 243 teams participating.

View original imageThe ‘KBS National Singing Contest Ulju-gun Edition,’ held in Ulju-gun for the first time in six years since 2019, aims to create a harmonious event where Ulju residents can participate and enjoy together, promote local agricultural specialties and major tourist attractions, and contribute to revitalizing the local economy and enhancing the image of Ulju-gun.
Ulju-gun received a total of 243 team applications amid high interest and participation from the application period of the 24th of last month to the 7th of this month.
Participants held the preliminary round at the county office Alps Hall on the day, showcasing enthusiastic performances from a wide range of ages, from the youngest participant aged 4 to the oldest aged 86, including office workers, self-employed individuals, students, and people from various walks of life, receiving warm responses.
After fierce competition, 50 teams were selected in the first round of a cappella judging, followed by a second round including karaoke accompaniment, talent shows, and story interviews, through which 15 teams finally advanced to the finals.
The finals will be held on the 15th at 2 p.m. in the gymnasium on the 2nd floor of the Ulju Sports Complex, and admission is on a first-come, first-served basis without a separate ticket. The finals will also feature performances by invited singers such as Kim Yeon-ja, Kim Hye-yeon, Yoon Tae-hwa, Bae Jin-ah, and Lee Bu-young.
Ulju-gun plans to operate a comprehensive control room to ensure smooth event management, including safety and order at the venue and parking management.

A county official said, “We ask for the interest and support of many people for the ‘KBS National Singing Contest Ulju-gun Edition,’ held again in Ulju-gun after six years,” and added, “We will do our utmost to manage the event so that the final performance can proceed safely.”
