Suncheon National University to Launch 'SCNU Miricampus' to Support High School Students' Career and College Planning
Creative and Research Exhibitions by Major, 1:1 Personalized Counseling Offered

Suncheon National University (President Lee Byungwoon) announced that it will operate the 'SCNU Early Campus' program for local high school students at Beommin Hall on the first floor of the International Culture Convention Center on campus until the 19th.
This program has been organized as part of the '2024 University Support Project for High School Education Contribution,' hosted by the Korean Council for University Education and the Ministry of Education. It is designed so visitors can view creative works and research/exhibition pieces produced directly by Suncheon National University students in one place.

View original imageThe SCNU Early Campus event, held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., features a wide range of exhibits prepared by major departments in Suncheon National University's three specialized fields, including Culinary Science, Accounting, Creative Writing, Photography Media, Comics and Animation, Fashion Design, and Chemistry, as well as other departments such as Food and Nutrition, Nursing, Architecture, English Education, and Chemistry Education.
To support high school students in planning their careers and college admissions, university admissions officers and student mentors specializing in various majors will be present at the venue to provide 1:1 personalized counseling.
In addition, specialized programs organized by university departments, such as a museum VR experience and an exhibition of creations by entrepreneurship clubs (Entrepreneurship Support Group), will also be available, allowing participants to experience a variety of university educational content.
Kang Heesoon, Director of Admissions at Suncheon National University, said, "The winter vacation, when students transition between school levels and grades, is the optimal time for systematic career and college planning. I hope local youth can experience university education on campus in advance, communicate with university student mentors, and explore their aptitudes and career paths in detail."
She added, "I expect this program to further strengthen the connection between high school and university education."
Suncheon National University achieved the highest level of results in the Honam region by recording a competition rate of 5.77 to 1 in the 2025 regular admission process.
