The induction ceremony, held on the 12th at the Gwangju Tourism Organization, was attended by Jeon Youngju, District President of Gwangju District Junior Chamber, executives, Park Heungcheol, Secretary-General of Gwangju Sarangui Yeolmae, and related officials.
The Nanum Leaders Club is a gathering or organization from various fields that leads the culture of sharing through acts of giving. It is a donation program that allows membership for those who donate or pledge at least 10 million KRW within three years, either as a lump sum or by installment.
With this membership, Gwangju District JC plans to continue its social contribution activities and contribute to the improvement of welfare in the local community.
Gwangju District Junior Chamber pledged a donation of 10 million KRW and delivered 3.3 million KRW. This membership in the Nanum Leaders Club by Gwangju District JC is recognized as a model case that goes beyond simple donation, demonstrating the social responsibility and spirit of sharing among local youth.
It is expected that the organization will continue to establish itself as a group that grows together with the local community through ongoing donations and volunteer activities.
Jeon Youngju, District President of Gwangju District JC, stated, "As a youth organization representing Korea, we participated in this sharing to raise our status and to lay the foundation for promoting Gwangju District JC externally. We want to deliver hope to our neighbors in need." He also added, "Based on our belief that 'service to humanity is the most beautiful work in life,' we will continue our sharing activities, even if small, to help the local community."
Park Heungcheol, Secretary-General of Gwangju Sarangui Yeolmae, said, "We thank the members of Gwangju District Junior Chamber, who are carrying out various activities under the slogan 'The Future of Gwangju, the Responsibility of Youth,' for joining the Nanum Leaders Club with a spirit of sharing. The donations will be delivered to places in the local community where help is most needed."
