Hearing of New Year's Business Report, Review of Ordinances and Proposals
The Buk-gu Council of Gwangju will convene its 294th extraordinary session starting from the 14th, marking the beginning of its first legislative schedule of the year.
According to the Gwangsan-gu Council on the 13th, this extraordinary session will include the hearing of the New Year's business report and the handling of a total of 18 agenda items, including ordinances and general proposals.
The main schedule begins with the first plenary session on the 14th, followed by reports on this year's key business plans by each standing committee from the 17th to the 20th. On the 21st, the second plenary session will be held to make final decisions on the agenda items reviewed by each standing committee, concluding the session's schedule.
Chairman Kim Myungsoo stated, "As this is an important session to share the direction of district administration and major business plans for the year, we will engage in discussions with a more diligent attitude than ever," adding, "We will do our best to ensure that sound opinions are presented from the residents' perspective to bring about positive changes that benefit people's livelihoods."
The Gwangsan-gu Council plans to operate two regular sessions and six extraordinary sessions this year.
