View original imageAccording to the business community on the 12th, the Seoul National University College of Business Alumni Association held its 2025 regular general meeting and New Year's greeting event at the Lotte Hotel in Seoul on the 25th of last month, where former Vice Chairman Kwon was unanimously approved as the new president of the alumni association. His term is two years.
In his inaugural speech, President Kwon said, "I thank the senior and peer presidents who have led the alumni association so far," and added, "I am grateful to the alumni who elected me and will not disappoint them."
President Kwon graduated from Seoul National University’s Department of Business Administration, class of 1975, and joined LG Electronics in 1979, dedicating 44 years to the LG Group. He served as CEO of LG Display in 2008, chairman of the Korea Display Industry Association in 2009, president of LG Chem’s battery business division in 2012, and vice chairman and CEO of LG Uplus in 2015. He later served as vice chairman and CEO of LG in 2018 and vice chairman and CEO of LG Energy Solution in 2021.
