The training, held at the Damyang Eco Center, aimed to ensure that staff fully understand the updated policies and can provide accurate and prompt welfare services to eligible residents.
The program covered key topics such as major amendments to the National Basic Livelihood Security and Medical Assistance systems, the Emergency Welfare Support system, Daily Care Services, Integrated Case Management, Prevention and Management of Solitary Deaths, and the Disability Pension Program, with emphasis on major policy and system changes coming in 2025.
Governor Lee Byeongno stated, "To deliver services that truly benefit residents on the welfare frontlines, the expertise and practical skills of our staff are essential. I hope this training will help each town and village swiftly implement the changing welfare systems and enhance residents' experience of welfare services."
Meanwhile, Damyang County plans to continue offering tailored training programs to strengthen the capabilities of welfare officers, effectively respond to evolving policies, and provide better welfare services to its residents.
