The Highest Number of Overseas Employed Graduates for Two Consecutive Years
Sahmyook University has proven its global employment competitiveness by ranking first in overseas employment rates among universities in the Seoul metropolitan area for four consecutive years since 2020.
According to the '2024 University Information Disclosure' announced on the 13th by the Ministry of Education and the Korea Council for University Education, Sahmyook University's overseas employment rate in 2023 was 3.16%, representing the highest level in the Seoul metropolitan area as of the survey date (December 31, 2023).
On December 20th, the '2024 Overseas Employment Training Project University Joint Course Completion Ceremony' was held at Hongmyeonggi Hall on campus.
The overseas employment rate is calculated as the ratio of graduates employed overseas to the total number of graduates excluding those who pursued further studies, enlisted in the military, were unable to work, international students, and those recognized as exceptions. Additionally, based on the number of overseas employed graduates, Sahmyook University recorded 37 in 2023 following 44 in 2022, achieving the highest number among universities in the Seoul metropolitan area for two consecutive years.
Sahmyook University's representative overseas employment program, the 'Overseas Employment Training Project (K-Move School),' is a talent development model comprehensively supported by the Human Resources Development Service of Korea, providing language training, job training, employment counseling and placement, and local settlement assistance. Selected as an operating university for seven consecutive years since 2018, it has successfully placed 161 graduates in local companies in the United States.
In particular, since 2022, Sahmyook University has formed a consortium with Daejin University, Duksung Women's University, and Seokyeong University, expanding the project into a university alliance program to establish a hub for overseas employment in the northeastern Seoul area, focusing on systematic curriculum operation.
