Yongin-si Receives Minister of the Interior and Safety Commendation for Excellence in Local Tax Development
Contribution to the Establishment and Improvement of the Next-Generation Local Tax Revenue Information System
Yongin City in Gyeonggi Province announced on the 11th that it received a commendation from the Minister of the Ministry of the Interior and Safety in recognition of its contributions to the development of local taxes.
The Ministry of the Interior and Safety selects and awards individuals, organizations, and local governments that have contributed to the advancement of the local tax system through discovering tax sources, stable tax administration, strengthening tax revenue management, and improving the functions of the next-generation local tax revenue information system.
This time, the city was commended for contributing to the improvement of functions and stable establishment of the "Next-Generation Local Tax Revenue Information System." This system, integrated and launched by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety last year, improves upon the previously dispersed and duplicated systems operated by each local government, enabling accurate and efficient handling of local tax tasks.
The city was highly evaluated for conducting field-customized test operations such as simultaneous access tests, on-site integrated user tests, and training for users in charge to ensure the stable launch of the system. In particular, the city was recognized as an excellent institution in system utilization by linking its specialized systems, such as virtual account payment collection and the mobile delinquent vehicle license plate seizure system, with this system.
