Acting Chief Choi on Ulju-gun Tanker Explosion: "Doing Our Best for Suppression and Safety Measures"
Choi Sang-mok, Acting President and Deputy Prime Minister as well as Minister of Strategy and Finance, instructed on the 10th regarding the tanker truck explosion accident in Ulju-gun, Ulsan, "The Ministry of the Interior and Safety, Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, National Fire Agency, and Ulsan Metropolitan City must mobilize all available equipment and personnel to do their utmost to extinguish the fire."
Acting President Choi said, "The Commissioner of the National Fire Agency must ensure the safety of firefighters engaged in fire suppression activities at the scene to prevent any casualties," and urged, "The National Police Agency and Ulsan Metropolitan City should thoroughly implement safety measures such as site control and resident evacuation."
The tanker truck explosion accident occurred at around 11:15 a.m. on the same day at United Terminal Korea factory located in Cheoryong-ri, Onsan Industrial Complex, Ulju-gun, Ulsan.
