Kim Hak-gyun Appointed as Next Chairman of the Venture Capital Association
Kim Hak-gyun, CEO of Quantum Ventures Korea, has been selected as the sole final candidate for the 16th Venture Capital Association President.
On the 7th, the Venture Capital Association held a board meeting at the Parnas Hotel in Samseong-dong, Seoul, and selected Kim Hak-gyun, CEO of Quantum Ventures Korea, as the 16th president of the Venture Capital Association. The candidates were Kim and Song Eun-gang, CEO of Capstone Partners.
As a result of voting by 49 member companies belonging to the board, with one vote per company, Kim received 21 votes including abstentions, and Song received 19 votes, making Kim the final candidate.
Born in 1972, Kim graduated from Seoul National University with a degree in Electronic Engineering. He worked at LG Venture Investment (now LB Investment), IDG Ventures Korea, Hanwha Investment, and Central Investment Partners before founding Quantum Ventures Korea in 2017.

Kim, who was elected on this day, is scheduled to officially take office at the regular general meeting to be held on the 25th.
