As the 2025 Harbin Winter Asian Games approach, Professor Seokyung Deok from Sungshin Women's University has argued that we must prepare for China's cultural engineering efforts.
On the 7th, Professor Seokyung stated on Facebook, "Every time a major global sporting event is held in China, Korean culture is promoted as if it were Chinese culture, causing constant controversy."

Additionally, hanbok appeared during the opening ceremony of the Beijing Winter Olympics. In the promotional video for the Winter Olympics, dancers wearing hanbok were shown dancing and spinning sangmo hats, which sparked controversy.
