Muan County, South Jeolla Province (Governor Kim San) announced that as of the early morning of the 6th, the area had recorded a snowfall of over 8.5cm, and that efforts were being made to clear the snow in order to alleviate inconvenience for residents and ensure their safety.

View original imageThe county declared Emergency Level 1, mobilized 13 collaborative departments and township offices for on-site duty, and deployed 13 snow removal vehicles to clear 180km across 13 road routes within the jurisdiction.
In addition, from early morning, Governor Kim San, Deputy Governor Jeong Hyeongu, and other senior officials participated in snow removal efforts, clearing snow from the area in front of Muan County Office, Muan-eup Jungang-ro, and other major downtown streets and village alleys.
Governor Kim San stated, "As snow is expected to continue through the weekend, we will ensure a thorough response to snow removal," and added, "We also ask all residents to actively participate in clearing the snow in front of their homes."
