Bucheon-si Provides Up to 400,000 KRW Moving Expense Support for Rental Housing to Vulnerable Residential Groups
Bucheon City in Gyeonggi Province announced on the 6th that it will continue its moving expense support program for housing-vulnerable groups this year.
The support targets those who have lived for more than three months in small rooms or goshiwon, according to the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport's directive 'Guidelines for Housing Support for Housing-Vulnerable Groups.' Eligible applicants must undergo a basic qualification survey (housing conditions, assets, income, etc.) and a resident selection process, and either be confirmed to move into public rental housing or pass the interest-free deposit loan screening by the Housing and Urban Guarantee Corporation (HUG) to move into private housing.
The city plans to support moving expenses for a total of 300 households this year. The support limit is up to 400,000 KRW per household, and only moving expenses and costs for purchasing daily necessities during the moving process are recognized.
Applications are accepted year-round on an ongoing basis. Applicants should visit the administrative welfare center of their new district within three months from the moving-in date to apply. Receipts for moving expenses or purchases of daily necessities must be submitted upon visit.
