The 'AiWaMom Convenient Event' gives 5,000 KRW in cash to the account of a minor (under 19 years old) when they open an 'AiWa Account' through the Gwangju WaBank (APP). If the check card is used for more than 10,000 KRW after opening both the account and check card, an additional 5,000 KRW in cash will be provided.
The 'AiWa Account Opening' and 'AiWa Account & Check Card Issuance' services allow legal guardians to open a minor's deposit account and issue a check card without complicated paperwork or visiting a branch, as the required documents can be automatically submitted using scraping technology.
The event is available on a first-come, first-served basis for the first 1,000 accounts until the 31st of next month, and customers who meet the requirements will be automatically entered.
More details can be found through Gwangju WaBank, the Gwangju Bank website, branches, and customer service centers.
Song Seokhyun, Head of Digital Finance Center at Gwangju Bank, said, "This service allows you to conveniently open an account for your child non-face-to-face, making it easy to start their first financial transaction. We will continue to expand customer benefits through ongoing events and do our best to become a reliable financial partner in our customers' daily lives."
