The Democratic Party Daegu City Party stated, "The controversy over Vice Mayor Jeong Jang-su's election law violation has started again. This is not the first time for Vice Mayor Jeong's election law violation controversy. Previously, there was a controversy over a 'like' related to Mayor Hong's promotional video, and the Daegu City Election Commission is currently investigating. However, he boldly lied that the Election Commission said there was no problem with his election law violation. Yet, this time, he posted content about Mayor Hong's presidential election on his SNS again."
The Democratic Party Daegu City Party said, "At this point, it would be better for him to resign and leave to support Mayor Hong. He wants to receive his salary but his mind is elsewhere, which is why he is showing such behavior," and urged, "We call on the Daegu City Election Commission to promptly investigate the ongoing controversy over Vice Mayor Jeong's election law violations since the previous 'like' incident and clarify the truth. It is also an important duty of the Election Commission to preemptively remove problematic parts."
