Oh Se-hoon: "Lee Jae-myung Only Views State Affairs as a Survival Tool"
"Belated Actions Ahead of the Trial"
Seoul Mayor Oh Se-hoon recently criticized Lee Jae-myung, leader of the Democratic Party of Korea, who has shown progressive moves such as easing inheritance tax burdens and introducing exceptions to the 52-hour workweek, saying he only views state affairs as a 'survival tool.'
On the 5th, Mayor Oh wrote on Facebook, "Lee, who had been unyielding on livelihood issues that the government and ruling party had long demanded, is now showing a belated response only after his approval ratings dropped and his trial approached."
He added, "We cannot forget that just seven months ago, when the government and ruling party sought cooperation on the 52-hour workweek to revive the economy and businesses, he said he would 'never cooperate with institutional deterioration.' This is a point that allows for the interpretation of election-driven, shield-driven pragmatism cosplay," emphasizing the point.
He also criticized Lee for requesting a constitutional review from the second trial court regarding his violation of the Public Official Election Act. Mayor Oh said, "(Lee) is now challenging provisions of the Public Official Election Act that the Constitutional Court has repeatedly ruled constitutional," adding, "Seeing him bring up a baseless constitutional review request right after his pragmatism cosplay, it seems clear that the intention is to delay the trial."

He then addressed Lee, saying, "The consistent formula of 'delay = survival' shown in various cases such as Daejang-dong and North Korea remittances," and added, "Many citizens see through the essence of Lee Jae-myung, who uses state affairs solely as a tool for his own survival."
