Asan Nanum Foundation, Recruiting New Tenants for 'Maru'
Startups Established Within 5 Years to Be Selected for Residency
MARU Platform Offers Office Space, Growth Support, and Community Benefits
Applications Open from the 7th to the 4th of Next Month
Asan Nanum Foundation announced on the 5th that it is recruiting startups to join the entrepreneurship platform ‘MARU’.
MARU, operated by Asan Nanum Foundation, is an incubator that supports the growth of startups by providing a wide range of resources including space infrastructure, networks, and education necessary for entrepreneurship. About 30 startups, along with domestic and international venture capitalists, accelerators, and startup support organizations, are currently based at MARU.
The startups selected in the first half of this year will move into MARU180 and MARU360 from April for up to 1 year and 6 months, receiving various support benefits not only for office space but also for growth and community.
Resident startups can freely use team office spaces as well as auxiliary facilities such as meeting rooms, lounges, shower rooms, and nap rooms. Event halls for hosting startup ecosystem events, studios for photo or video shooting, and seminar rooms are all available free of charge. The kids zone is available at a discounted price. Office spaces are allocated according to the number of team members, and all necessary office furniture is provided. The space cost only requires minimal actual expenses needed for facility management.
At MARU, startups can also experience various programs supporting their growth. Through the ‘MARU Benefit’ program, which offers benefits worth up to 620 million KRW annually, startups can receive services necessary for development, recruitment, promotion, and welfare either free of charge or at discounted rates. A support fund of up to 5 million KRW is also provided to assist startups in expanding overseas.
The eligibility criteria require startups to be domestic companies established within the last 5 years, with 3 to 12 employees, excluding gambling and entertainment industries. Companies certified as venture businesses are given preference. Companies wishing to join can apply on MARU’s official website from the 7th until the 4th of next month. After document screening and interviews, the list of selected resident companies will be announced in March, and residency will begin on April 1st.
