Ahnam County Sees First 'Top Donor' for Hometown Love Donation Program

Donates 20 Million Won to Hometown Love Donation Program

With the annual donation limit for the Hometown Love Donation Program raised from 5 million won to 20 million won this year, the first highest donor has emerged in Haenam-gun, Jeonnam.

According to Haenam-gun on the 4th, the donor is Hwang Eunsun, CEO of Ire Livestock Pharmaceuticals Co., Ltd., who visited the county office on the 3rd and donated 20 million won to the Hometown Love Donation Program.

CEO Hwang Eunsun, together with her spouse Kim Youngguk, who is originally from Hyeonsan-myeon in Haenam, has been running Ire Livestock Pharmaceuticals, a livestock medicine company in Naju, since 2017. Ire Livestock Pharmaceuticals is recognized as a leading supplier of veterinary medicines in Jeonnam, and through its subsidiary Ire Biochemical, it has expanded its business scope by importing and selling seeds, livestock equipment, and other essential products for the livestock industry.

In particular, the couple has been at the forefront of giving back to their hometown Haenam, donating 10 million won to the Haenam Scholarship Fund in 2021, followed by 5 million won to the Hometown Love Donation Program and another 10 million won to the scholarship fund in both 2023 and 2024.

CEO Hwang said, "Although we run our business in another region, I always think about ways to help the elders and children of my hometown," and added, "I am delighted to participate in the Hometown Love Donation Program, as it allows me to contribute to the development of the region."

County Governor Myung Hyunkwan expressed his gratitude, saying, "With the heartfelt donations from our hometown supporters, we will do our best to make Haenam-gun a place full of happiness and warmth.
