View original image'Suncheon Care Call' is a service in which AI, using conversational artificial intelligence technology, calls care recipients every week, checks on their well-being, and provides companionship just like a real counselor. It offers emotional care services to those at risk of being cut off from communication with others.
The 'Suncheonsalpim Annyeong App' is an application that sends an SOS text with location information to guardians if the care recipient does not use their mobile phone for a certain period. Any Suncheon citizen with a smartphone can install and use the app free of charge.
The 'Smart Care Plug' is a device that connects a smart plug to home appliances, detects changes in electrical current, and notifies the responsible official if the device is unused for an extended period, judging it as a potential risk situation. Real-time monitoring enables a rapid response to emergencies.
This project, which was piloted last year, received positive feedback from citizens, and currently about 2,200 citizens are receiving well-being care services. The city plans to continue expanding the number of recipients this year. For inquiries and counseling, contact the Suncheon City Department of Social Welfare or the local administrative welfare center.
A city official stated, "We hope that advanced AI technology will help prevent crises for more citizens," and added, "We will do our best to provide necessary support to vulnerable households and resolve social isolation."
