Sacheon-si to Support a Total of 9.8 Billion KRW for Air Quality Improvement Projects in 2025
Air Quality Improvement Support Project to Be Announced in February
Applications to Be Accepted Afterwards
Sacheon City in Gyeongnam Province will invest a total of 9.827 billion KRW in the "Air Quality Improvement Support Project" this year.
The applicants eligible for this air quality improvement support project are citizens residing in Sacheon City, as well as individual and corporate business operators within the jurisdiction. Detailed eligibility criteria and conditions will be announced for each project in February.
The target projects include ▲Support for purchasing eco-friendly vehicles (electric cars, electric two-wheelers, hydrogen cars) ▲Support for fine dust reduction (distribution of low-NOx boilers for households, reduction of emissions from old vehicles, maintenance of devices after warranty period) ▲Support for improving living environment (conversion of children's school transport vehicles to LPG cars, cool roof support) ▲Installation support for prevention facilities in small-scale business sites ▲Installation support for gas heat pump reduction devices, among others.
Meanwhile, the support procedure involves receiving applications after the announcement of each project, conducting a preliminary review of applicants, confirming eligibility for support, and then selecting and notifying the recipients.
Additionally, for projects where applications exceed the 2025 budget, the city plans to review the feasibility and related procedures, consult with Gyeongsangnam-do Province to secure additional national and provincial funds, or reflect the demand in the 2026 survey.

A city official stated, "To improve air quality and respond to the climate crisis, we will actively promote the project through the Eup, Myeon, and Dong administrative welfare centers to ensure that no Sacheon citizens are left out of the application process."
