Chosun University Introduces AI-Based Learning Support System for New Science and Engineering Students
Chosun University (President Kim Chunseong) announced on the 4th that it will introduce an AI-based basic learning support system for new students in the science and engineering fields for the 2025 academic year.
Through this system, the university will effectively assess the basic learning abilities of new students and operate a step-by-step curriculum. To this end, prospective freshmen will also take a basic academic skills diagnostic test.
The newly introduced AI-based basic learning support system analyzes the foundational academic abilities of freshmen and provides each learner with a personalized learning path. In particular, it aims to help students gain a fundamental understanding of essential science and engineering subjects, focusing on mathematics, physics, and chemistry, and to maximize learning efficiency.
The AI-based basic learning system analyzes the basic academic level of prospective freshmen in real time and guides them through a liberal arts curriculum tailored to their proficiency level. It also collects data on each student's learning level, providing freshmen with an early opportunity to identify and address their weaknesses.
Kang Heejo, Director of the Office of Academic Affairs and Creative Convergence Education Division, said, "The introduction of this AI-based basic learning system is part of our efforts to help science and engineering freshmen solidify their foundational learning before entering university and to provide effective academic opportunities tailored to their individual learning levels," adding, "Support utilizing AI technology will help students achieve academic success."
