Gwangsan-gu Gwangju Announces 2025 Village Community Support Contest
Applications Accepted from the 14th to the 20th of Next Month
Gwangsan-gu in Gwangju announced on the 31st that it is recruiting residents and communities to participate in the Gwangsan-style Village Community Support Project.
This open call allows any citizen to participate in two fields: coexistence and innovation.
The coexistence category, where residents become the main agents and propose village agendas of their choice, is divided into Saenaegi1, Saenaegi2, Formation, and Growth stages.
Among these, the Saenaegi2 stage has relaxed its requirements to allow those with experience in other open call projects to apply, in order to broaden participation. The Growth stage has differentiated its requirements by making collaboration with local institutions mandatory, so as to assess the community's development capabilities.
In the innovation category, the "Village △△ Gap Resolution" section supports agendas that address social exclusion and imbalance through unique community methods, while the "Village Specialized Project Support" section assists in discovering and implementing agendas that strengthen or develop the village's unique characteristics.
Resident groups or organizations consisting of three to five or more people who live or are active (in schools, workplaces, etc.) in the district are eligible to apply. The application period is from the 14th to the 20th of next month, and application documents must be submitted via email.
Hot Picks Today
However, residents or organizations wishing to participate must attend the explanatory session for the open call project to be held on the 4th of next month.
