View original imageThe heavy snow advisory that had been issued across Gwangju, Jeonnam, and Jeonbuk has been lifted, while a strong wind advisory has been issued for some areas. The heavy snow advisory for Gwangju, Jeonnam, and Jeonbuk was lifted as of 4 p.m. on this day.
A strong wind advisory is in effect for Yeosu, Haenam, Yeongam, Muan, Hampyeong, Yeonggwang, Mokpo, Shinan (excluding Heuksan-myeon), Jindo, and Heuksando in Jeonnam, as well as Gochang, Buan, Gunsan, and Gimje in Jeonbuk.
In Gwangju and Jeonnam, heavy snowfall of 1 to 3 cm per hour is expected on the 28th. The expected snowfall is 5 to 10 cm (with some areas receiving more than 15 cm). The expected precipitation during the same period is about 5 to 20 mm.
The morning's lowest temperatures are expected to be -5°C in Damyang, Gokseong, Gurye, Hwasun, and Jangheung; -4°C in Gwangju, Jangseong, Yeonggwang, Muan, Naju, Yeongam, Gangjin, Goheung, and Suncheon; -3°C in Mokpo, Haenam, Jindo, and Gwangyang; -2°C in Yeosu; and -1°C in Wando and Shindo.
The day's highest temperatures will be 4°C in Haenam, Wando, Jindo, Goheung, Gwangyang, and Yeosu; 3°C in Gwangju, Shinan, Naju, Yeongam, Gangjin, Jangheung, and Suncheon; and 2°C in Jangseong, Yeonggwang, Hampyeong, Muan, Mokpo, Hwasun, Gokseong, Damyang, and Gurye, showing lower temperatures than the previous day.
Wave heights will be 1.5 to 3.5 meters in the West Sea and 1.5 to 2.5 meters in the South Sea. Both fine and ultrafine dust levels are expected to be 'good.'
An official from the Gwangju Regional Meteorological Administration said, "In areas where rain or snow falls, visibility will be reduced and icy or slippery roads may occur, so please maintain a safe distance and drive slowly."
