77 Workers at Asan Construction Company Receive Unpaid Wages
The Cheonan Branch of the Ministry of Employment and Labor announced on the 23rd that it had resolved 300 million won in unpaid wages.
Last December, the Ministry visited a construction company in Asan and instructed both the main contractor and subcontractor representatives to expedite the settlement process.
After the initial guidance, labor inspectors continued to provide focused support, enabling 77 workers to receive their unpaid wages before the Lunar New Year holiday.
Branch Chief Choi Jongsoo said, "We are relieved that workers were able to receive their unpaid wages before the holiday," and added, "We will continue our efforts to resolve unpaid wage issues in the future."
