Chosun University Hospital Hires 22 New Nurses
On Standby for Two Years Due to Conflict Between Medical Community and Government
Chosun University Hospital will hire 22 new nurses who had been on standby due to management difficulties caused by conflicts between the medical community and the government.
According to Chosun University Hospital on the 22nd, the hospital plans to officially appoint and assign 22 new nurses on the 1st of next month. Of these new hires, 6 passed in 2023 and 16 passed last year.
Among the 150 additional nurses recruited in 2023, 8 were unable to join due to the conflict between the medical community and the government. Of these, 2 have given up their appointments, and the remaining 6 have been officially appointed. Of the 147 new nurses hired last year, 3 are known to have given up their appointments. Excluding the 16 who have been officially appointed this time, the remaining 128 will remain on standby for the time being.
A representative from Chosun University Hospital said, "We have assigned nurses who had been on standby due to the conflict between the medical community and the government as vacancies occurred in the field," and added, "New nurses who are still on standby will also go through the appointment process depending on the staffing situation in the field."
