S-OIL Ulsan Plant Executives Visit 2nd Disabled Sports Center for Lunar New Year Rice Cake Soup Sharing Event
Executives of S-OIL Ulsan Plant visited the 2nd Disabled Sports Center (Director Han Yonghee) on the 22nd to hold a rice cake soup sharing event in celebration of the Lunar New Year holiday.
At the event, 16 executives from S-OIL Ulsan Plant, including Vice President Kim Bochan of S-OIL, attended and personally served rice cake soup to 300 disabled individuals and presented daily necessities as gifts.
Kim Bochan, Vice President of S-OIL who attended the event, said, “Under the core value of ‘sharing,’ S-OIL is carrying out various social contribution activities in the Ulsan area. We will continue to perform social contribution activities tailored to the needs of the Ulsan community and grow together with the local society.”
Kim Sunja (severe brain lesion), a disabled person who participated in the rice cake soup sharing event, said, “It was difficult to cook at home due to my physical condition, but I am grateful that every Lunar New Year you prepare a generous table of rice cake soup. Last week, the S-OIL Volunteer Corps visited and cleaned our disabled household thoroughly and also gifted ramen and daily necessities. Cleaning was very hard, and I am always thankful for the many volunteer services provided for us disabled people.”

S-OIL Ulsan Plant has organized a volunteer corps since 2012 to support vulnerable groups in the region, visiting social welfare facilities and carrying out various volunteer activities. Separately, it has taken the lead in helping neighbors in need through kimchi sharing events, baking volunteer services, and Sunshine Sharing Volunteer Corps activities.
