SOL Joseon TOP3 Plus ETF Surpasses 600 Billion KRW in Net Assets
Shinhan Asset Management announced on the 22nd that the net assets of the 'SOL Shipbuilding TOP3 Plus ETF' have surpassed 600 billion KRW.
The SOL Shipbuilding TOP3 Plus ETF recorded remarkable returns of 29.12% and 110.73% over the past 1 month and 1 year, respectively.
Kim Jeong-hyun, Head of the ETF Business Division at Shinhan Asset Management, stated, "Shipbuilding is the sector showing the most outstanding growth in the domestic stock market since the beginning of the year in terms of both short- and long-term returns," adding, "It is an important sector that must be included in investment portfolios this year."
He continued, "The domestic shipbuilding industry has many positive factors, including solid performance, expectations for orders related to maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) of U.S. naval vessels amid the U.S.-China arms race, increased demand for LNG carriers due to U.S. LNG projects, and strengthened competitiveness in the offshore wind power market."
The SOL Shipbuilding TOP3 Plus ETF is an ETF that allows concentrated investment in the domestic shipbuilding industry. It holds over 80% weight in shipbuilders, including the three major shipbuilders HD Korea Shipbuilding & Offshore Engineering, Samsung Heavy Industries, and Hanwha Ocean, as well as HD Hyundai Mipo Dockyard and HD Hyundai Heavy Industries. It invests in a total of 13 stocks, including shipbuilding equipment companies such as HD Hyundai Marine Solutions, Hanwha Engine, Korea Carbon, HD Hyundai Marine Engine, Dong Sung Fine Tec, Taekwang, Hylock Korea, and Sejin Heavy Industries.
