At the appointment ceremony, Seosan Mayor Lee Wan-seop presented letters of appointment to the instructors. This was followed by a meeting in the city administration situation room to discuss ways to enhance citizens' information utilization skills and informatization levels.
The city plans to promote substantial informatization education based on the opinions of the instructors who will be conducting the training on-site.
Additionally, through the six newly appointed instructors, the city will offer informatization education courses and on-site village education for citizens throughout the year.
The citizen informatization education will be held from February 17 to December at the Seosan Lifelong Learning Center (252 Angyeon-ro) computer lab and various village halls, with an average of four courses offered per month.
To address the difficulties caused by the popularization of kiosks, the city has added kiosk education to the beginner smartphone course this year.
Any citizen wishing to participate can apply from February 3 through the Seosan City website (by navigating to Category Information → Education/Culture/Sports → Informatization Education Guide/Application) or by contacting the Seosan City Smart Information Department.
Mayor Lee Wan-seop stated, "Through various educational programs that citizens can conveniently use in their daily lives, we will enhance citizens' information utilization skills and do our best to improve the quality of life for our citizens."
