In the Trump 2.0 Era, the Direction of the Korean Economy... Hankyung Business Association Seminar to be Held on the 24th
Keynote Speech by Former Vice Chairman of the National Economic Council in Trump’s First Term
The Korea Economic Association announced on the 17th that it will hold a seminar titled "100 Hours Since the Opening of the Trump 2.0 Era and the Korean Economy" on the 24th at the FKI Tower Conference Center in Yeouido, Seoul.
This seminar will discuss the policy outlook for Trump's second term and its implications for the Korean economy. The keynote speech will be delivered by Kelly Ann Shaw, a lawyer at the Anglo-American joint law firm Hogan Lovells and former Vice Chairman of the National Economic Council during Trump's first term.
The first session will cover the outlook for Trump’s second-term policies toward Korea. Jung Chul, Chief Research Officer of the Korea Economic Association, will chair the session and lead discussions with experts. Participants include Choi Seok-young, Advisor at Law Firm Kwangjang; Choi Byung-il, Professor Emeritus at Ewha Womans University; Cho Soo-jung, Professor at Korea University Law School; and Kang Tae-soo, Professor at KAIST.
The second session will discuss Trump 2.0 economic policies and strategies for Korean industry response. Shin Won-kyu, Invited Research Fellow at the Korea Economic Research Institute, will present, followed by expert discussions.
Lee Si-wook, President of the Korea Institute for International Economic Policy, will chair the session, with Kim Soo-dong, Head of the Global Competitive Strategy Division at the Korea Institute for Industrial Economics and Trade; Kang Gu-sang, Head of the North America and Europe Team at the Korea Institute for International Economic Policy; Ahn Ki-hyun, Executive Director of the Semiconductor Industry Association; and Oh Cheol, Professor at Sangmyung University, participating.
