'Squid Game' Art Director Cha Kyung-sun Nominated for Art Directors Guild Award in the US

Chae Kyung-sun, the art director responsible for the art in Netflix's 'Squid Game' Season 2, has been nominated for the Art Directors Guild (ADG) Award in the United States. According to the ADG on the 16th, she was selected as a nominee in the 1-hour contemporary single-camera series category at the 29th awards ceremony.
The Art Directors Guild Award is given to art directors and set designers who create beautiful and artistic backgrounds and mise-en-sc?ne designs in films, TV dramas, commercials, and music videos. This year’s nominees in the same category include art directors from Amazon Prime's drama 'Mr. & Mrs. Smith,' Apple TV's 'Slow Horses,' Netflix's 'The Gentlemen,' and Paramount's 'Yellowstone.'

Director Chae previously earned honors for 'Squid Game' Season 1 in 2022. If she wins again this time, she will receive the award consecutively for the same series after three years. The winner will be announced at the awards ceremony held in Los Angeles (LA), USA, on the 15th of next month (local time).
