‘Tintin Digital Baeknyeoncheongsa’ Program
for Middle School Students in Busan
Dong-A University Seokdang Museum has been selected as a ‘Certified Institution for Educational Donation Career Experience’ organized by the Ministry of Education and the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
The Educational Donation Career Experience Certification System is a program that certifies institutions providing free career experience opportunities to students, and has been in operation since 2016.
In this certification process, a total of 411 institutions, including Dong-A University Seokdang Museum, were selected after a three-stage evaluation of ‘nature of the experience site,’ ‘environment and safety of the experience site,’ and ‘operation and quality of the experience program.’
Dong-A University Seokdang Museum’s certified career experience program, ‘Tintin Digital Baeknyeoncheongsa,’ is a program themed ‘100 Years of the Busan Temporary Capital Government Building’ that uses digital technology (virtual reality) to allow students to directly experience local cultural heritage and explore their aptitudes and futures by experiencing actual work related to museum professions.
The Seokdang Museum plans to operate programs for middle school students in the Busan area at the experience education room within the museum, including △the transformation process and background of the Busan Temporary Capital Government Building △career counseling with workers in museum-related occupations △appreciation and trace-finding of the Digital Baeknyeoncheongsa △participation in the Dong-A Muse project for training prospective curators, and mission-based activity sheets.
