The reason for holding this New Year press conference at Mokpo High School is also an expression of our determination to accelerate the establishment of the 2030 Classroom through field-oriented educational policies."
He summarized this year's major Jeonnam education policies as follows: ▲ The 2030 Classroom to lead 'K-Edu' ▲ Strengthening reading and humanities education ▲ Coexistence education for a sustainable future ▲ Glocal education communicating with the world ▲ Building a collaborative educational ecosystem.
He continued, "For the first time in the country, we established a dedicated team for reading and humanities education and are actively promoting it. In 806 schools in the province, we are operating programs such as 'Morning Opened by Books' and 'Reading and Humanities Clubs,' solidifying a reading culture shared by the educational community."
On this day, Superintendent Kim demonstrated a 'Future Classroom Lesson' using a video conferencing system with second-year students from Mokpo High School and Naju High School. The students communicated with global experts in various fields such as environment, international relations, and economics, exploring global issues. The '2030 Classroom' also enables individualized learning support for students through an artificial intelligence (AI) learning analysis system.

For the first time in the country, the province has introduced the 'Multicultural Talent Track' to appoint local multicultural talents as elementary school teachers and is pushing to establish the tentatively named Jeonnam International Vocational High School to nurture industrial and glocal talents, aiming for its opening in March next year.
Superintendent Kim said, "This year, we will expand the Jeonnam Student Education Allowance, which was previously given differently by region, to all elementary students in the province at 1.2 million won per year, and we will also fully implement the pilot project for 17 education development special zones, which achieved the most results nationwide."
He added, "We will focus on nurturing creative and inclusive glocal talents so that Jeonnam students can go beyond the region to the world, and we will take on the challenge of coexistence education where the region and the world, digital technology and nature are in harmony. We will implement the main policies of Jeonnam education without setbacks, laying the foundation of education and vigorously opening the door to a hopeful future."
