Guro-gu '2025 Hope Ondol Warm Winter Fundraising' Campaign
Donations and Goods Accepted Until February 14
Individuals and Companies Continue Warm Support with Contributions
Guro-gu announced that it is collecting donations for the ‘2025 Hope Ondol Warm Winter Campaign’ until the 14th of next month.
The ‘Hope Ondol Warm Winter Campaign’ is a project to raise welfare funds to support neighbors in need of urgent assistance or those who do not receive public support.
Every year, Guro-gu accepts donations and goods together with the Seoul Community Chest of Korea and the Guro Hope Welfare Foundation. This year’s target amount is 2 billion KRW, which is 400 million KRW (25%) higher than last year’s 1.6 billion KRW.
Individuals and companies who have consistently participated in the Warm Winter Campaign every year are continuing their warm sharing this year as well.
Cheongryong Environment, Daeryung General Construction, Shinhan Bank Guro-gu Office Branch, and Mr. Jo Jeong-hyeon donated funds with warm hearts to help neighbors in need.
Also, Global Financial Sales, Guro-gu Social Welfare Council, Yonsei Central Church, T-Buk Social Welfare Foundation, Emart Guro Branch, and Emart Sindorim Branch donated kimchi for kimjang to be distributed to various social groups. Ione Bio donated oral probiotics (Tablet Pro) for residents’ health welfare, and Gwangdeoksa Temple donated 300 bags of 10kg Gyeonggi rice.
Those who wish to participate in the Warm Winter Campaign can visit the Guro-gu Office or local community service centers to donate money and fill out and submit a cash donation form. Goods such as rice, kimchi, blankets, and clothing can also be donated to the Welfare Policy Division of the district office or local community service centers.
Along with face-to-face donations, non-face-to-face donations using QR codes are also being conducted. You can scan the QR code on the notice boards or donation boxes set up at each community service center or on the district office website.
