Fires Break Out in Gwangju and Jeonnam... Three People Suffer Severe Burns
In the early morning of the 11th, a series of fires in Gwangju and Jeonnam resulted in casualties.
According to the Gwangju-Jeonnam Fire Headquarters, at around 2:29 a.m. that day, a fire broke out at an entertainment bar in Bokgwang-dong, Mokpo, Jeonnam. Three people, including two men in their 50s and one woman in her 40s, suffered severe burns and are currently receiving hospital treatment.
Around the same time, a fire occurred on the second floor of a four-story villa in Sinan-dong, Buk-gu, Gwangju. A man in his 30s who lived on the same floor was transported to the hospital after inhaling smoke, and seven other residents of the villa were either rescued by firefighters or evacuated on their own.
The police and fire authorities are investigating the exact cause of the fires.
