Ulju-gun Selected for 'Circulating Librarian' Support Project for Small Libraries Two Years in a Row
Securing 31 Million KRW in National Funding

Ulsan Ulju-gun announced on the 10th that it has been selected for the 'Small Library Itinerant Librarian Support Project' for the second consecutive year, hosted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and organized by the Korea Library Culture Promotion Institute.
The Small Library Itinerant Librarian Support Project is a program that dispatches professional personnel (itinerant librarians) with librarian qualifications to support the operation of small libraries for their stable management.
Following the selection, Ulju-gun secured a total of 31 million KRW in national funding to operate itinerant librarians at local small libraries. One itinerant librarian will be recruited this month and assigned to two private small libraries in Ulju-gun from next month until November.
The assigned itinerant librarians will carry out education and management related to overall library operations, including managing the small libraries' collections and supporting the planning and operation of reading culture programs.

An official from Ulju-gun stated, "Through the operation of this project, we expect to strengthen the operational foundation of small libraries struggling due to the lack of professional personnel and provide high-quality services for the residents of Ulju-gun."
