This video conference was the first government meeting of the year. President Putin chaired the meeting focusing on new national projects to be promoted. At the meeting, he pointed out that the response to the oil spill incident involving an oil tanker in the Kerch Strait of the Black Sea on the 15th of last year has not been sufficient and demanded the formation of a committee to prevent oil spills and damage in the event of future oil tanker accidents.
