Comprehensive Measures for 10 Major Sectors to Be Implemented from 13th to 30th

Buk-gu District of Gwangju City is focusing its administrative capabilities on 10 key areas for public welfare stabilization during the Lunar New Year holiday.

According to the district on the 9th, from the 13th to the 30th, it will implement a 'Comprehensive Plan for the Lunar New Year' consisting of 23 initiatives across '10 key areas for public welfare stabilization,' including support for marginalized neighbors and providing transportation convenience for returning travelers.

Before the holiday, the district will deliver consolation money and daily necessities to 3,500 low-income households and visit social welfare facilities.

During the holiday period, a special traffic countermeasures task force will be activated, and on-site guidance to maintain order in congested areas will be strengthened. Through these measures, the district aims to ensure the safety and convenience of travelers and maintain an emergency response system for disaster situations.

Additionally, a rapid response team will be organized at the public health center, and designated emergency medical institutions will operate a 24-hour emergency medical system. Other initiatives include managing infectious diseases and food poisoning situations, implementing comprehensive urban cleanliness measures, expanding snow removal operations, and operating a center for reporting daily inconveniences.

Furthermore, by promoting the purchase of Onnuri gift certificates and designating a traditional market shopping day, the district aims to revitalize local businesses. The comprehensive price control situation room will be strengthened to manage the prices of holiday necessities and service fees directly affecting residents' lives.
