The evaluation of support agencies for people with disabilities is conducted every two years by the Ministry of Health and Welfare and the National Pension Service, aiming to improve the quality of services provided to people with disabilities and to contribute to their independent living.
This year's evaluation targeted 427 institutions nationwide, including welfare centers for the disabled, social welfare centers, and local self-support centers. The assessment covered four areas?organization management (business and personnel management), service provision (planning, quality management, results), user satisfaction, and community cooperation?using 26 indicators. The top 35 institutions nationwide were selected as the best institutions.
Among them, Hyerim General Welfare Center received the highest scores across all evaluation areas and was the only institution in Jeollanam-do to be named a best institution.
On the 8th, Director Lee Byungyong stated, "I believe this is the result of our efforts to improve the quality of life for people with disabilities living in Damyang and to help them live confidently within the community," adding, "We will continue to create the best service environment where people with disabilities and support workers can cooperate and be satisfied together."
