Joo Ji-hoon Becomes Surgeon... 'Severe Trauma Center' Premieres on Netflix January 24
Online video service (OTT) Netflix announced on the 7th that it will release a new series, "Severe Trauma Center," on the 24th of this month.
"Severe Trauma Center" tells the story of Baek Gang-hyeok (Ju Ji-hoon), a genius surgeon who once roamed battlefields, as he is appointed to revive a dysfunctional severe trauma team. It is adapted from the webtoon of the same name. Director Lee Dong-yoon, known for the film "Good Friends" (2014), and writer Choi Tae-gang of the drama "Adamas" (2022) collaborated on this project. Director Lee described it as "a prescription-like work that contains laughter, emotion, action, and comedy."

Actor Ju Ji-hoon anchors the story as Baek Gang-hyeok, a doctor who does not yield to injustice. Choo Young-woo plays Yang Jae-won, an elite fellow summoned to the severe trauma team; Ha Young portrays Cheon Jang-mi, a tough senior nurse with five years of experience on the severe trauma team; Yoon Kyung-ho plays Han Yoo-rim, the proctology department head who shouts "Down with Baek Gang-hyeok"; and Jung Jae-kwang acts as Park Kyung-won, a determined anesthesiology and pain medicine resident.
