Pocheon-si Operates 'You Were Born to Be Loved' Program
Mayor Baek Young-hyun "Supporting Protected Children to Grow Up in a Healthy Environment"
Pocheon City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Baek Young-hyun) announced on the 6th that it will operate the "You Were Born to Be Loved" program for children under case management in 2025.
The "You Were Born to Be Loved" program is designed to provide children under case management, such as foster children and children returning to their original families under post-management, with opportunities to celebrate their birthdays with their families, aiming to support emotional stability and healthy growth.
The program is conducted by child protection officers visiting the child's home on their birthday to deliver birthday cakes and congratulatory cards while checking on the child's caregiving situation.
In particular, the program is expected to be enriched through the cooperation of Cafe Frezi. The representative of Cafe Frezi expressed a desire to "give children special memories" and offered to support cakes.
