This move comes as fresh food sales centered on livestock products increase, and per capita meat consumption (60.6kg) far exceeds rice consumption (56.4kg).
First, GS The Fresh plans to secure high-quality livestock products by strengthening mutual cooperation systems with livestock partners. It will enhance investment and support systems for excellent partners to establish a virtuous distribution cycle system including securing high-quality raw materials, processing, and stable supply. To this end, GS The Fresh will hold a win-win growth agreement ceremony with livestock partners on the 9th and sign a business agreement that includes joint development of differentiated products, strengthening product promotions, and infrastructure investment.
A new event called ‘Meat is GS The Fresh’ will also be launched to offer consumers livestock products at the lowest price level. GS The Fresh plans to innovate price competitiveness through economies of scale using sales channels and streamlining distribution stages. The event will continue as an annual fixed event, focusing on 11 main products such as beef, pork, chicken, and eggs, which have particularly active consumption.
The first event will run until the 14th. Key products such as ‘Two-star Hanwoo sirloin 300g’ (29,900 KRW), ‘Grade 1 Hanwoo soup meat 300g’ (9,900 KRW), ‘Korean pork belly 500g’ (9,900 KRW), ‘Choryang-style marinated scored pork 1.1kg’ (9,900 KRW), and ‘Antibiotic-free fresh eggs 30 pieces’ (5,980 KRW) will be offered sequentially. Customers can receive up to a 50% discount when purchasing with GS Pay and other methods.
