Gwangju Gwangsan-gu to Strengthen Medical Care Services
Gwangsan-gu in Gwangju is set to strengthen its medical care services.
According to Gwangsan-gu on the 3rd, the district will add specialized projects such as a Social Prescription Health Management Center, Hubalance (hospital accompaniment), and Village Meal Cafe to the 'Gwangju+ 7 Major Care Services.' This aims to create an environment for citizens to manage their own health and to integrate medical treatment with daily life support.
Additionally, nursing public officials assigned to each district will be given the role of 'Medical Care Manager,' overseeing the integrated care home-visit medical services and strengthening the connection with the health management and promotion projects of the public health center.
The scope of citizen medical care services will also be expanded quantitatively.
The district, in cooperation with primary medical institutions, will designate and operate the 'Gwangsan-gu Home-Visit Medical Support Center' to provide services such as consultations, examinations, prescriptions, treatments, chronic disease management, and health education. The home-visit dental and nursing services, which were promoted as specialized projects, will be expanded this year as a common project across the five autonomous districts of Gwangju.
To this end, the district has signed integrated care business agreements with 15 institutions and organizations, an increase from 12 last year. It also plans to newly implement one-on-one in-home face-to-face inspections and support the service providers with professional counseling and improvements to operational manuals.
