A vehicle crashed into a crowd at Kkaebi Market in Mok-dong, Yangcheon-gu, Seoul, injuring 13 people.
The Seoul Fire and Disaster Headquarters reported that at around 3:52 PM on the 31st, they received a report that a vehicle had rushed onto the road inside Kkaebi Market and struck multiple pedestrians, and they dispatched emergency responders.
According to the Yangcheon Police Station, as of 4:45 PM that day, 13 injured people, including 4 with serious injuries, were transported to hospitals for treatment. Among them, one man in his 40s is in critical condition.

A police official stated, "No signs of intoxication were detected during the on-site investigation," and added, "Drug test results were also negative." The official further explained, "During the police investigation, the driver stated that there was no sudden unintended acceleration, and that the car had been parked in the garage for a long time, so he was worried about the battery running down and took it out for a drive after a long time."
