In Ddokta, taxi calls are free of charge 24 hours a day. Some private taxi call platforms apply paid call fees to ensure faster dispatch. Users can use taxi services more reasonably with free calls regardless of the call time.
Ddokta’s taxi call service can be used with a pay-upon-arrival method. The previous service required prepayment of the estimated fare and dispatch, followed by a re-payment of the confirmed fare after the taxi ride. However, since the 19th, the service has been changed to on-site payment upon arrival at the destination, offering the advantage of conveniently using various payment methods. Users can choose their preferred payment method such as mobile easy payment, credit card, or transportation card, enhancing convenience.
This expansion of the taxi service linkage was carried out as part of a public call service promoting coexistence with local taxi operators. Through the public-led platform ‘Ddokta,’ taxi operators are not required to provide business information, and the service reduces the burden on taxi operators by charging no franchise fees. This actually serves as a measure to check excessive dispatch services in the private market and complements the monopoly market.
The corporation is also striving to enhance user convenience through promotions among linked transportation modes. Additionally, an automatic payment service is planned to be introduced, and activation measures are being prepared for local taxi operators. Plans are being made to diversify demand and improve dispatch efficiency to enhance users’ travel convenience.
