Uijeongbu City Holds Donation Ceremony for 'Happy Butterfly Donation Staircase'
Choo Hospital, St. Peter's Hospital, and Han Seonghee Dental Clinic Donate 15 Million Won
Uijeongbu City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Kim Dong-geun) announced on the 31st that a donation ceremony for the 'Happy Butterfly Donation Staircase' was held in the mayor's office on the 30th.

View original imageThe Happy Butterfly Donation Staircase, installed at Exit 5 of Uijeongbu Station in March 2018, operates by accumulating 10 won per user, which is then donated to low-income residents in the area through contributions from sponsoring organizations.
This donation ceremony was organized to donate the accumulated funds based on the number of users of the donation staircase in 2024 (1,657,312 people as of December 12).
Choo Byeong-won (Director Choo Hyun-kwang), St. Peter's Hospital (Chief Director Park Jin-soo), and Han Seong-hee Dental Clinic (Chief Director Han Seong-hee) each donated 5 million won, totaling 15 million won, through the Gyeonggi Community Chest of Korea. The donations will be used to support low-income residents in the area.
