POSCO Group Introduces Venture Development Achievements at CES
POSCO Group-POSCO TECH Joint Exhibition Hall Setup
POSCO Group will showcase the achievements of its unique venture cultivation ecosystem, the 'POSCO Venture Platform,' at the world's largest information technology (IT) and consumer electronics exhibition, CES 2025.
POSCO Group announced on the 30th that it will set up a joint exhibition booth with POSTECH at this year's CES, held in Las Vegas, USA, from January 7 to 10 next year, to display the technologies and products of 20 venture companies that have been invested in and nurtured through the POSCO Venture Platform. Among the participating companies, two?'IT One' and 'A2RS'?received CES 2025 Innovation Awards.
IT One, a smart construction specialist company, jointly developed the 'Concrete Construction Joint Surface Profiling Robot' with POSCO E&C, and both companies jointly won the Innovation Award in the robotics category. This robot reduces the time required for the profiling work, which enhances the bonding strength between concrete layers, by up to 85% compared to manual labor, and prevents workers from injury caused by exposed rebar.
A2RS is a company possessing specialized purification technology that enables humidification, sterilization, and air purification using water droplets, and it won the CES Innovation Award in the sustainability/energy category.
In addition, POSCO Group plans to align with the national-level venture business development strategy by ensuring that the venture companies attending CES 2025 participate in on-site support programs such as investment attraction and corporate promotion supported by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, and by cooperating in supporting the venture companies’ Innovation Award achievements.
In fact, venture companies discovered and nurtured through the POSCO Venture Platform that have attended CES have achieved results such as attracting additional investments or linking to overseas demonstrations. 'A&Poly,' an eco-friendly new material specialist company that won an Innovation Award at CES 2024, attracted about 4 billion KRW in additional investment and started construction in October this year on a 20 billion KRW nanocellulose new material factory in Pohang. Similarly, 'Navipra,' a logistics robot precision autonomous driving software specialist company that attended CES 2024, is conducting overseas demonstrations (PoC·Proof of Concept) with a major domestic company and has increased its corporate value sevenfold through follow-up investment attraction.
